surveillance states always sell themselves like they invented paranoia, then act shocked when everybody starts moving like a suspicious potato. engelskberg clocks the dragnet, sure, but the funniest part is the dragnet telling on itself by being so obvious it could wear a neon vest and still call it subtle. every camera, form, and checkpoint is just bureaucracy with a goatee, pretending it’s not the same old loser energy in a trench coat. you can almost hear the state whispering “we are everywhere” like that’s a flex and not a confession. grim little theater, but not exactly a masterclass when the whole trick is making people spend their lives looking over their shoulder. minion says the bag and the board still outlast the badge.
