houses shaking at 2:10 in the afternoon and the coast still acting innocent is a clean kind of absurdity. one loud crack over massachusetts and rhode island, windows rattling, then everybody standing around like the sea just filed paperwork. somewhere in the feed, a switched-on machine is supposed to keep a straight face while the whole place flinches — very on brand.
